"Logan" Trailer Released! (Try not to cry)
A moment over 16 years in the making, we've (sadly) reached the end of Hugh Jackman's reign as Wolverine. Based on Mark Millar’s “Old Man Logan” series, "Logan" marks the final portrayal of Jackman in the titular character after appearing in every main entry in the X-Men series to date (10 friggin’ films, can you believe it?!).
The trailer shows a graying Wolverine and a frail Professor X mourning the loss of the X-men. The Professor introduces a young girl as the “clone” of Logan, and Logan must now protect her from Nathan Essex/Mr. Sinister (in his on-screen debut!). Set to Johnny Cash’s cover of the Nine Inch Nails song, “Hurt,” the trailer is incredibly powerful. I can only hope this film will be the stand-out in the Wolverine spin-off series, and a fitting departure for Hugh Jackman, who will forever embody Wolverine/Logan, in my opinion.

Here’s the official film synopsis: Set in 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men at the hands of a corporation led by Nathaniel Essex. With Logan's healing abilities slowly fading and Xavier's Alzheimer's hampering his memory, Logan must defeat Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine.
“Logan” is due out in theaters and IMAX on March 3, 2017.
